Watercolor, pastel, paper and ink on watercolor paper
11x14 inches and includes gold, black or white frame
This multimedia artwork plays with the concept of different perceptions of reality with regards to photography and painting. While combining ink, watercolor, and acrylic on paper the work begins with photographs that are heavily edited, then printed and painted over. I also enjoy the abstract painting aspect when you get close and look at the art.
As a viewer, it can be difficult to discern where the photography ends and the painting begins. I don’t like to be confined by any one style or aesthetic, so this series is more about bending ideas, exploring concepts, and playing with light through the medium of paint.
