Self Portraits

For over twenty years, I have studied and used myself to understand and express the perceptions we have of others and ourselves. Growing up biracial with intergenerational parents was uncomfortable at times. So I have worked to break down the impressions that I believe and others have expressed about me based on what I look like. How I act is interpreted by others and I have pushed what those boundaries and categories are for myself and others.
